A wheel of supports

MAST’s service comprises a ‘wheel’ of supports encompassing three key elements: child and family support, school staff development and whole school system enhancement. These areas allow us to deliver an adaptable range of interventions to meet schools’ unique needs and priorities.

Diverse professionals, working together

The MAST team includes specialists from a variety of disciplines, including educational psychologists, psychotherapists, counsellors, therapists, systemic family therapists and family learning mentors. This breadth of expertise enables us to direct the right help to the people and areas needing it.

Creative and responsive

The collaborative approach of MAST allows us respond effectively to a variety of challenges. We work proactively with schools, SATs, MATs to promote best practice in mental and social wellbeing. But we also provide fast, targeted interventions where urgent needs arise, for example in a situation of crisis for a child.

Our mission

To respond to the psychological and social needs of every child and family that needs it – and to provide a connected system of support for positive mental health across schools in Plymouth.
