Permanent Teaching Assistant
Contract: 25.75 hours per week, 38 weeks per year
Salary: NJC Grade C SCP 5-7. Starting salary £14,185, pay rise pending. (FTE £23,500)
Start date: As soon as possible.
Bickleigh Down CE (Aided) Primary is seeking to appoint a Permanent Teaching Assistant with a particular interest in sports and physical education to join our school family in Woolwell.
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic individual to work across our school as a Teaching Assistant. You will have experience of supporting all areas of the curriculum, an interest in PE or sports provision, be a great team player and want to be involved in all aspects of school life.
Mornings will be spent in the classroom supporting the teaching of lessons or working with small groups of children. Afternoons will be spent supporting a range of sporting activities in school and at sporting events.

The successful candidate will:
- Have the ability to support teaching and learning activities in all areas of the curriculum for groups of pupils.
- Be enthusiastic about sports.
- Be prepared to organise and plan sporting events.
- Work well in partnership with parents.
- Be able to work safely, creatively and flexibly.
- Be able to prioritise tasks effectively.
GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths or equivalent is essential.
