Salary: Grade C
Start Date: TBC
Contract: EYFS - Permanent 35hrs per week/ Teaching Assistants 29.5hrs per week
Salary: £23500 – £24294 Pro rata
Whitleigh Community Primary School is seeking a skilled and committed EYFS Teaching Assistant and 2 x Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team. This role involves supporting pupils, including those with special needs, in accessing learning activities and assisting teachers in classroom management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Aid in the setting up and delivery of learning activities and opportunities
- Provide support for pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
- Assist in managing pupils and the classroom
- Aid in planning and implementing Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes
- Promote self-esteem, independence, and positive behaviour among pupils
- Address conflicts and incidents promptly and effectively
- Provide first aid and welfare support
- Demonstrate tasks to new starters or less experienced staff members
- Assist in handling small amounts of money related to school events
- Undertake other duties appropriate to the grade of the post
