Teaching Assistant
Job Description
Job Type: 5 Days per week, Fixed Term until the end of the academic year
At Brunel Primary and Nursery Academy, we are passionate about providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can succeed. We are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team and help make a positive impact on the learning and development of our wonderful children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities that foster a love of learning.
- Support children with their individual needs, helping them to participate fully in class.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere.
- Provide 1:1 or small group support to enhance children’s development.
- Encourage and support children’s social and emotional growth as well as academic progress.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Experience working in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of phonics and experience in teaching it is desirable but not essential.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their educational journey.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
