Supply Teaching Assistant Training
Job Description
Supply Teaching Assistant Training
Are you interested in an opportunity that gives you flexibility and choice?
Are you someone who is interested in working with children and young people?
Would you value an opportunity which can help you in your professional and personal life?
We are excited to be recruiting Teaching Assistants to our highly regarded supply agency. Supply Plus is part of Plymouth Learning Partnership (PLP), a not-for-profit community interest company, which supports children, families and the community through their services to schools.
This is a great opportunity if you have always wanted to gain skills and support children to learn, develop and thrive. If you are a parent/carer with school-aged children this may work well in combining training and employment with hours that suit childcare.
This could be an opportunity for undergraduates/graduates wishing to further their real-life skills or who are interested in working in education or supportive roles with children and young people. No formal qualifications are required, although there will be opportunities to gain accreditation.
Training will lead to a certification by PLP and the opportunity to join a supportive organisation with a proven track record of excellence across Plymouth schools.
Our next training dates:
- Wednesday 14th May - Session 1: The Role of a Teaching Assistant
- Tuesday 20th May - Session 2: Relational Aspects and Behaviour Management when working as a Teaching Assistant
- Wednesday 4th June - Session 3: Teaching and Learning within a Teaching Assistant Role
- Wednesday 11th June - Session 4: Safety, Professionalism and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
