Pastoral Support Worker (Maternity Cover)
Job Description
Salary: Grade E £29,093 - £31,586 pro rata
Are you passionate about supporting children’s well-being and development? Whitleigh Community Primary School is seeking a Pastoral Support Worker to help pupils thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.

The Role:
We need a positive, approachable individual to support pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs by:
- Providing one-to-one and small group mentoring
- Supporting transitions throughout the school day
- Collaborating with families and external agencies
- Leading Team Around me and EHAT meetings
- Leading multi-agency meetings and maintaining safeguarding procedures
Requirements:
- GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Qualification, training, or experience in Psychology, Counselling, or STORM Training (or similar)
- A passion for enhancing children's emotional and social well-being
Job Details:
- Hours: 15 per week (Monday - Thursday, 39 weeks per year)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Closing Date: 24th April 2025 (close of play)
- Interviews: Week commencing 28th April 2025
