'Mind The Gap' Y6/7 Transitions Provision

A framework to support the most vulnerable children as they take the leap from primary to secondary school.

'Mind The Gap' Y6/7 Transitions Provision

This newly developed framework aims to enhance pro-active support for the most vulnerable children entering Key Stage 3 provisions. As part of the transition process for their most vulnerable young people, schools can plan with MAST for targeted support, entering Key Stage 3 in September 2023. Where needed, this may be extended into the Year 7 setting by team members experienced in support for transition and inclusion. This year we have been working in collaboration with school-driven transition development across the city. Additionally, a specific training course for staff is offered yearly as part of the CPD offer.
