Our blog: Learning Curve
You’re in good company
Our ability to bring children, families and schools the support they need relies on the relationships and connections we make. Here’s a sample of the feedback we’ve had from people who have called on Plymouth Learning Partnership’s services.
“PLP workers are flexible & try to meet the needs of child/home/school. They are the only support in the city who are actually proactive & help rather than have long waiting lists. We pay for additional high need & it's a worry for the future if school cannot meet this cost. The demand for support from PLP is ongoing & rising! We simply cannot do without them..”
"I like that through my role in PLP children are at the heart of the therapy we deliver, and how good communication is between the team schools and families."
"PLP build strong partnerships with schools and communities to improve life chances for children."
"PLPCIC Health and Safety guidance have been invaluable to the school. Andrew is friendly and approachable. His regular visits to the school are detailed and informative. He guides the school through the mind field that is "Health and Safety". I would whole heartedly recommend the service to schools."
"PLP is an inclusive company, which thrives on a supportive network of professionals within the team. They are compassionate and understanding."
"We have used the Health and Safety service from PLP for a number of years and I cannot recommend their service enough. They provide accurate and timely health and safety advice, with an understanding of the challenges faced by schools. They have helped me to save money by avoiding unnecessary expenditure or recommending contractors offering value for money on their services. Easily accessible by email and mobile phone, they have certainly been on hand to help out in a crisis too."
Supply+ has been a great organisation to work with! The team are always friendly and helpful, and communication is good. The calendar system on the database works really well and there has always been work when I wanted it with age groups and in areas that suit me. I have enjoyed going into a range of different schools in Plymouth and have found it a supportive way of getting back into the classroom after a break.
"The PLP team are warm, supportive and knowledgeable in their expertise. I enjoy my role within the team as a family learning mentor, and feel empowered to support children and families knowing I have a great team around me, with regular supervision and access to a variety of CPD opportunities to further my development."
“PLP give my school access to incredible, hard-working, knowledgeable and caring experts in education. The impact we see in Speech and Language and through workshops and CPD is considerable. The support PLP, especially MAST, gives us is inspiring - and vital to us providing the high quality provision we know our children and families deserve. Everyone is friendly and wants to help. It is a pleasure to do business with PLP and its different subdivisions..”
“I think PLP MAST have the balance just right, they emapthise with the challenges schools face and they respond in a timely manner. They support, guide and advise, but are not unrealistic or judgemental. We feel supported and guided in a way no other service can match at present..”
Thank you all so much for everything over the past 2 years! For enabling me to start my teaching career and for working so hard to make everything is as smooth as possible!
“MAST are amazing. All of the staff are resourceful, compassionate and hardworking. Everyone is committed to find a creative way to remove barriers and support children and their families to move forwards. I would not be able to do my job without the support, expertise and advice that the MAST team provide. They are always there when we need them the most.”
"I'd like to take the chance to thank the Supply+ team for supporting me through this stage of my career - I have been so much happier being back in schools and I have been able to do that because of the opportunity that Supply+ gave me."
“It has given me the opportunity to reach children and families who may never have been able to access therapy or support in the way that we give. It has allowed me to work with a variety of people and explore my practise over the years, enabling me to become the practitioner I am..”
"Andrew has been a great help to me personally. I started in a school with no health and safety or educational background. I felt quite overwhelmed, however, Andrew guided me through the compliance requirements and reassured me when I needed advice. He is very patient and explains things clearly. He is very knowledgeable and an expert in his field. I’m not sure how I would have managed without this support and guidance!"
